What you’ll do: As a StandBy Support Worker, you will provide direct, in-home support to people who have been bereaved or impacted by suicide at any stage of their life. Using your knowledge of grief, loss, and trauma, you will deliver early intervention and tailored support to individuals and families following a suicide. In Australia, more than 2,800 people die by suicide each year. StandBy – Support After Suicide was established in 2002 to meet the need for a coordinated, community-based response to suicide.
