HR Investigation Manager - 6 months Act Up or Secondment or Fixed Term Contract opportunity for Birmingham Council employees 6 month fixed term contract for non-Birmingham Council employees. Grade 6 - £54,495- £64,811: Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week: About the role: As a HR Investigation Manager, you will shape the integrity, quality and impact of the HR Investigations function across Birmingham City Council. As the senior lead for internal investigations, you will oversee a specialist team of Investigation Officers, an HR Coordinator and Implementation Leads, while personally managing the most complex, sensitive and high‑profile cases. This is a rare opportunity to influence organisational culture, strengthen risk management, and ensure fairness and consistency in how people matters are handled . You will act as the organisation’s expert in employment legislation , case trends and ER best practice, guiding senior leaders and shaping policy to ensure compliance and high‑quality decision‑making.
