Employment Type: Part time Shift: Night Shift Description: 12-hour PM shifts POSITION PURPOSE: Registered Nurse to support IV Insertions and Phlebotomy. This is a Part-Time, benefited position scheduled 24 hours per week on the night 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. shift with holiday and weekend rotation. This RN will rotate to a variety of units starting IVs or drawing blood for patients who are determined "difficult IV access." Ability to communicate within the inter professional team to determine best IV access will be necessary. Education will be provided on the use of ultrasound and different types of IV catheters prior to starting role. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Under limited supervision, the Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing patients, including developing, evaluating, and modifying the care plan. The RN interprets and performs complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise. RNs are members of the Care Team and Support Team and have accountability to function as a team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
