Description Job ID: FM9978-3402-1917: Position Classification: FT Staff IUOE: Position Summary: Under general supervision, inspects, maintains, tests, repairs, installs, and modifies building interiors, finishes, furnishings, surfaces, and structures and all related equipment, fixtures, and systems at the University. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Performs rough and finish carpentry work. - Proficiently operates a full range of woodworking machines including table saw, band saw, sander, miter saw, portable tools, etc. - Plans, estimates/quotes, and acquires materials and supplies for jobs. - Designs and constructs dust enclosures to isolate work areas from the surrounding areas. - Coordinates work with employees in other classifications. - Periodically assists in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of employees in lower classifications. - Performs corrective maintenance, inspections, preventative maintenance, surveys, tasks, and tests of assigned areas, buildings, equipment, machinery, spaces, and systems.
