This class works independently, under limited supervision, reporting major activities through periodic meetings. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent. Requires one year in electrical, mechanical or communications maintenance or closely related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Special Certifications and Licenses: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and current DOT Medical Card required, or the ability to obtain within 6 months. Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Some knowledge of practices, methods, and tools of the maintenance, electrical, and communications trade. Some knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions in electrical and various mechanical trades. Ability to do strenuous manual work under varying weather conditions.
