Regions Hospital is looking for a highly motivated clinical pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care and clinical expertise to patients in the Emergency Department. The Clinical Pharmacist will work independently under minimal supervision and work cooperatively with health system and pharmacy staff. The pharmacist should have the ability to set priorities in an environment with frequent interruptions and be able to adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. The pharmacist will be expected to respond to urgent and emergent patient cases and provide bedside services for patients in our emergency department. These two new positions are an expansion of our current clinical service, allowing us to offer 24/7 clinical pharmacy coverage in the Emergency Department. The pharmacist will provide professional pharmaceutical services by: Verifying orders. Completing appropriate medication histories. Dispensing medications and related supplies. Monitoring patient medication therapies. Providing drug information to healthcare providers. Overseeing the work of direct support personnel.
