Job Description Provides general counsel and advice regarding legal aspects of the activities, contracts, policies, procedures, plans and objectives of the organization. Consults with administrative and other personnel of the organization regarding their legal obligations and duties; as well as with outside legal counsel, and other consultants, on legal matters affecting System affiliated entities and personnel. Job Responsibility: 1. Handles a full range of legal matters affecting the organization and its affiliates; researches and understands legal and business issues, responds promptly and objectively; stays current with laws and regulations impacting operations; maintains awareness of organizational activities to provide comprehensive legal advice. 2. Serves as a liaison to ensure outside professionals understand the business context and organization personnel grasp the impact of legal analysis; assists in developing and revising policies and procedures, including those related to health information management and research efforts. 3.
