SUMMARY: The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for the technical design, engineering execution, and delivery of engineered material handling systems. This role focuses primarily on engineering design, technical problem solving, and project technical leadership. JOB DUTIES: Primary Responsibilities (90% Plus) Lead the mechanical design and engineering of material handling systems to meet customer technical specifications. Translate customer requirements into detailed engineered solutions, including layouts, calculations, and component selection. Develop accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support technical cost estimation. Perform engineering analysis, risk assessment, and design validation to ensure performance, safety, and reliability. Participate in technical customer meetings to clarify scope and ensure alignment on engineering deliverables. Support cross-functional collaboration (sales, purchasing, production) by providing clear technical direction and documentation. Review and approve detailed design packages prior to release.
