Schedule Full-Time: 40 Hours/Weekly: EEG technician - Monday - Friday 7-3:30/9:30-6 On call schedule for evenings and weekends, rotating holidays General Summary: Performs EEG or Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) in the Neurodiagnostic lab according to established standards and practices at an entry to intermediate skills level. This includes EEG procedures in the NICU and all ICUs, and all NCS studies currently performed in the Neurodiagnostic Lab. Provides findings, results, and a descriptive analysis according to facility policy and procedures. Essential Functions: - Related to EEG: Performs EEG procedures according to facility policy and procedures. - Related to EEG: Maintains patient safety during clinically significant events, and other related duties. - Related to EEG: Performs EEG procedures under direct technical supervision until all required institution competencies have been achieved. Continues to learn and apply basic and intermediate EEG waveform recognition, relevant medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, infection control, current HIPPA practices, contraindications for activation procedures, instrumentation and preparation for use. - Related to EEG: Ensures electrod...
