Part-Time Faculty - Counselor Education, Academic Year 2026 - 2027

Job description

The University of Southern Maine’s Counselor Education Department invites applications for part-time faculty. Part-time faculty members would primarily support courses in clinical supervision, group counseling, professional issues in mental health counseling, crisis intervention, multicultural counseling, human development, and other areas essential to students’ professional counseling preparation and are aligned with programmatic and accreditation expectations. We are seeking student-focused instructors who will be responsible for the full delivery and grading of the course. The instructor is responsible for responding to student course inquiries through electronic mail, phone call, or in-person, and posting final grades in a timely manner. The course sections and modalities will be determined by the department chair, in collaboration with the part-time faculty. The USM Counselor Education program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
