Overview About the Role: The primary purpose of the Quality Improvement Specialist position is to assist in the development and implementation of the University Hospital Quality Improvement Program. Responsibilities: What You’ll Do: - Provides patient‑centered service by creating a friendly, welcoming, safe environment, communicating clearly, resolving concerns promptly, organizing work to meet customer needs, maintaining professionalism, and supporting service excellence and customer service goals. - Assists the Director and clinical departments in identifying areas of review for the Quality Improvement Program and implementing the quality improvement process. - Uses electronic databases and internet resources to examine clinical data for trends, perform comparative assessments, conduct literature searches, and identify potential areas of review. - Performs data collection and exploratory studies through concurrent or retrospective chart reviews; organizes data in tables/graphs and supports clinicians in developing and evaluating improvement measures. - Designs data‑collection instruments, performs audits to ensure data reliability, maintains and updates the quality database, and...
