Description: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Leads a staff responsible for maintaining landscape areas or to facilitate moves, set-ups or special events. - Duties may include constructing, planting, maintaining and repairing new landscape areas or moving furniture and staging materials. - Other responsibilities may include repairing, renovating, and maintaining athletic fields and other specialized areas. - May monitor and activate irrigation systems and apply fertilizer and pesticides to landscape areas. - May drive university utility vehicles to and from work sites. - Ensures the proper safeguarding of tools and equipment. - Follows necessary precautions in keeping with OSHA standards and other applicable federal and state regulations when working with hazardous materials and power equipment. - Uses personal protective equipment as necessary. - Performs related responsibilities as required.
