Job Summary: Responsible for preparing tissue specimens by processing, performing microtomy, and mounting on glass slides for microscopic examination and analysis. Essential Functions: -Processing, Embeds and sections tissue for slides. -Embeds control tissue and cuts control slides to maintain an adequate control library. -Performs preventative maintenance and quality control procedures, including oiling and cleaning microtomes, cleaning processors, and changing staining solutions. -Ensures appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain employee safety at all times. -Maintains case identification and ensures appropriate tracking throughout...
