Accounting Specialist / Accounting Policies & Controls (f/m/d)

Job description

As a member of the Global Accounting & Financial Management team, you support the Accounting Policies & Controls team. Reporting to the Head of Accounting Policies & Controls, you help maintain and enhance accounting policies and drive the implementation of new accounting processes, rules, and regulatory requirements. You act as a central point of contact for key IFRS accounting topics, providing technical guidance, stakeholder communication, and management reporting support, while coordinating related processes and the control framework. You work closely with regional accounting functions and key stakeholders (e.g., Allianz Asset Management GmbH, Allianz SE, and external auditors) and proactively identify opportunities to improve end-to-end processes, controls, and the use of digital- and AI-enabled testing. Project work is an integral component of the role. Overall, the role helps ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality financial reporting by combining technical accounting expertise, robust controls oversight, sound analysis, and a continuous improvement mindset.
