Description The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a director for its Institute for Family and Relational Health. Established in 2007, the Institute and its component programs focus on integrating family therapy and the biopsychosocial model to promote relational health for families, physicians, and leaders. The Institute is comprised of two programs – the Family Systems/Therapy Training Program and the Physician Communication Coaching Program. The Training Program consists of a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy Program, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education; a Post-Degree Certificate Program in MFT for mental health professionals seeking MFT licensure; a Post Degree Family Therapy Training Program to enhance Family Systems and MFT principles for counselors, ministers, physicians, nurses, social workers, and school counselors as well as postdoctoral psychology fellows in the UR’s APA-accredited Psychology Training Program; and Residents in psychiatry and family medicine.
