Job description

Overview Provides respiratory therapeutic and diagnostic care to patients according to established standards and practices in critical care, general care, and emergency care areas. Performs electrocardiogram and other related examinations for patients as directed. Reports to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions: Consistently completes respiratory assessment in timely manner to include current status, presentingproblem, medical history, vital signs, lung volumes, and oxygenation at least 90% of the time.Correctly classes and updates patients. Formulates respiratory plan of care based on assessment utilizing all indicated protocols andestablishes priorities. Involves physician, other health care providers, family, and patient in plan. Considers age, development, and cultural factors when formulating plan of care. Implements the respiratory plan of care in a timely and organized fashion. Demonstrates competencein the performance of clinical skills in accordance with accepted professional and organizationalstandards.
