Exhibition Fabrication Technician

Job description

We are looking for two Exhibition Fabrication Technician As an Exhibition Fabrication Technician , you will be responsible for designing, building, and installing custom exhibition components, display cases, and museum furniture that meet museum conservation standards. You ensure high-quality fabrication work that protects and showcases collections while supporting exhibition programming. What we are looking for: Advanced carpentry and cabinetmaking expertise for custom exhibit fabrication ; Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and produce shop drawings ; Strong finishing skills (paint, laminates, acrylic, glass, faux finishes) ; Experience installing exhibit components in gallery spaces ; Ability to provide technical solutions and solve design challenges ; Strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork. Minimum seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience: Advanced experience in carpentry/cabinetmaking ; Experience in a museum, gallery, or conservation environment ; Experience with specialized exhibit systems (Unistrut, Octanorm or similar) ; Experience operating workshop equipment (CNC, saws, routers, pla...
