About the unit Officially completed in February of 2019, this EC spans across 125,000 square feet with 135 mostly private rooms. This brand-new space has the state-of-the-art equipment, radiology suites, pharmacy, and respiratory support within the department. As one of the busiest Emergency Centers in the nation, and as a Level I Trauma Center/Level II Pediatric EC, you will be exposed to some amazing learning opportunities. We have a shared-governance model, and we encourage the front-line staff to get involved and participate in the day-to-day decisions and changes within the department. About Royal Oak Hospital: Recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the #2 hospital in Michigan and one of the top hospitals in the country. It is a major academic and referral center with Level I adult and Level II pediatric trauma designations.
