ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Perform sample and reagent preparation, DNA extraction and isolation, processing, quality analysis prior to genotyping, and related molecular biology tasks. - Execute all duties essential to high-throughput data generation for platform-specific technologies, including primary and secondary platforms. - Operate and maintain electronic and robotic equipment essential to processing, such as liquid handling robots, multichannel pipettes, and electronic repeaters. - Maintain consistency and quality in laboratory techniques and procedures within a fast-paced, evolving work environment. - Generate and analyze initial data from various laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation. - Maintain accurate records, including laboratory notebooks, lot tracking, sample archives, LIMS entries, and repositories. - Assist in training new technicians, assistants, and interns to support workload management. - Provide input on process improvements to maximize laboratory efficiency. - Ordering and inventory of supplies, reagents, and platform-specific consumables. - Calibrating instruments and performing general preventive maintenance...
