Regional Environmental Compliance Manager

Job Description Summary The Regional Environmental Compliance Manager (RECM) is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the proper management of all aspects of environmental compliance as it relates to policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth by GFL and with all local, state, and federal regulatory authorities. This is a dynamic role that works with facility operations and leadership teams to provide direction on regulatory and permit requirements using compliance tracking tools to provide reports and track necessary corrective actions. The RECM maintains relationships with regulatory agencies, ensures that compliance reports and agency responses are completed timely, provides training to our operations team, and reviews regulations for potential impact on the business. The desired location for this position is Peoria, IL; however, applicants from or willing to relocate to Springfield or other central and southern Illinois locations will be considered. Key Requirements: Travel & Location: Requires approximately 65% travel (mostly local, some overnight) covering sites in central and southern Illinois.
