Job description

COSMOTE Global Solutions NV is seeking an experienced System Administrator to manage and maintain our client's IT infrastructure and ensure optimal performance and security of our systems. Responsibilities: - Provision of IT Support services for the development and operation of the local IT environments for the project SuFiA (JRC.D.2) - Collaboration with the Directorate D ICT Team to manage and develop ICT centralized service - Installation, configuration and maintenance of servers' operating systems - Performing minor (patching) and major Operating System upgrades as requested, in compliance with the Commission IT security policies and best practices - Performing preliminary diagnosis of software and hardware problems, also in co-ordination with the central IT departments - Scripting & configurations in context of systems & infrastructure; install, configure and maintain system scripting procedures - Handling of backups and restore operations of systems & infrastructure; manage the specific SuFiA backup infrastructure - Administration of scientific users in line with JRC ICT policies - Monitoring of and responding to system and application logs (error logs, disk checks, virus mal...
