Classification Title: ASO/FULL PROF - Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) Classification Minimum Requirements: Candidates should currently hold a tenure-track appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level at their institution. Those with an MD or DO degree must possess or be eligible for a Florida Medical License. The major assignment will be in research, but the candidate is also welcome to participate in clinical service and teaching efforts that are negotiable Job Description: The University of Florida Diabetes Institute invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track faculty position at the Associate Professor or Professor level. We seek an innovative and collaborative investigator with a strong research program focused on Type 2 Diabetes (T2D). Areas of study may include, but are not limited to, molecular and cellular disease mechanisms, metabolic dysfunction, including beta cell inflammation and stress responses, translational strategies for diagnosis and treatment (e.g., GLP-1 receptor agonists and approaches to mitigate side effects), artificial intelligence (AI) applications in disease modeling and prediction, the microbiome’s role in metabolic disease progressi...
