Job description

Summary: Through the leadership of the Assistant Director of Pharmacy Services and the Manager of Clinical Quality and Education, this Baystate Health leadership position is primarily responsible for the planning, development and implementation of pharmacy training, pharmacy education and pharmacy competency programs for the Department of Acute Care Pharmacy Services. The scope includes all levels of learners, including pharmacy students (IPPE/APPE), pharmacy residents, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy interns and pharmacists. Education and competency assessments topics include medication management initiatives, departmental and organizational policies, skill validation, regulatory compliance awareness as well as other educational needs identified by the leadership team. The Pharmacy Education Coordinator will ensure appropriate education and communication tools are utilized and sustainable plans and methods are in place as part of the educational plan or program.
