Job description

The mission of Equitas Academy Charter Schools is to prepare students for college, careers, and life pursuits, and inspire them to be champions of equity. The High School Counselor supports students’ academic progress, social-emotional well-being, and postsecondary readiness. This role provides counseling services, monitors student progress toward graduation, and collaborates with staff and families to ensure students are supported academically, behaviorally, and emotionally. The counselor also plays a key role in risk assessment, attendance support, and college and career readiness planning The Counselor will report to the School Principal. Tier 1 Universal Supports (15%): Oversees a peer mentoring program to connect students who need social-emotional support with peers Select and train students on effective mentorship Lead school wide mental health campaigns and school-wide awareness campaigns that focus on building empathy and understanding among students.
