Location: Rotterdam Work Schedule: 36 hours per week (Hybrid; mandatory office day on Tuesdays) Contract Period: June 1, 2026 – May 31, 2028 (with possible extensions) Role Overview: We are seeking a Technical Advisor with a civil engineering background to support major maintenance projects on road infrastructure. The role focuses on maintenance and repair of structures within highway systems, including asphalt replacement, expansion joints, and concrete restoration. Key Responsibilities: Develop technical specifications for maintenance and repair works on civil structures Assess and verify the quality of work performed by contractors Identify concrete damage patterns (e.g., carbonation, chloride damage, wear) and recommend repair solutions Advise on suitable joint systems and concrete repair methods, considering cost, quality, and risk factors Translate inspection data into actionable maintenance solutions Review contractor designs and completed works Conduct monthly site inspections during high-risk activities and document findings Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across design, preparation, and execution phases Support process and product testing as a subject matter expe...
