Job Summary: The CMO is responsible for leading clinical operations, ensuring the quality and safety of patient care, and aligning the medical staff activities with the strategic goals of the hospital. The CMO serves as the chief administrative leader responsible for clinical quality and oversight of the members of the medical staff. They participate as a member of the senior management team on strategic planning, budgeting, and management committees. The CMO ensures care delivery at all hospital sites meets the highest standards for each clinical discipline and is aligned with the hospital scope of practice, mission, and regulatory requirements. Requirements: Must have a Medical Degree (MD or DO) with board certification. MBA, MHA, MPH, or credentials in medical management are preferred. Must be eligible for licensure in Rhode Island. Must be eligible eligible to be a member of the medical staff. Ten years of experience in an academic or community academic medical center.
