STATUS: Per Diem LOCATION: Unity Hospital: DEPARTMENT: Diagnostic Imaging: SCHEDULE: As needed; M-F (7:30 am - 5:30 pm) SUMMARY: As a Mammo Tech, you are to demonstrate excellent customer service, communication skills, and obtain quality positioning and imaging quality studies while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients. Warm and comforting patient care skills are mandatory for these sensitive procedures. Performs screening and diagnostic mammogram examinations and assists the radiologist in performing mammographic procedures. This team member’s role is to obtain images of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to the patient undergoing these exams. ATTRIBUTES: Prior Radiologic Technologist experience. ARRT-M Advanced Mammography Certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work with various software applications. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and inpatient charts as necessary.
