Analyst - OR Gas Control Center

Job description

Under general supervision, the Analyst will be responsible for assisting Gas System Operators in maintaining the integrity of the natural gas transmission and distribution system in a safe, reliable and economic manner. This includes maintaining all gas accounting functions to ensure accuracy of delivered supplies for system operations with respective interstate pipelines, Gas Purchasing and Portfolio Planning and Transportation Customers (including electric generation). Assists the Section Manager with monthly reporting and Control Room Management (CRM) adherence. Core Responsibilities: - Ensures that appropriate gas schedules are in place to provide sufficient gas supplies to meet service area Transmission and Distribution load requirements and coordinates all intra day changes with Gas Supply/Commodity Operations. - Represents Gas Control at the daily Gas Supply Morning Call between Gas Control and Gas Supply Purchasing and Scheduling, Commodity Operations and Retail Access. - Utilizes gas distribution load forecasting analytics and modeling along with weather forecasting services to forecast gas distribution loads daily.
