Hampton, Virginia Overview: The Therapist Psych ED I works under the supervision of the Clinical Services Manager to provide quality therapeutic services for patients and their families including individual, family, and group therapy, assessment, conducts preadmission screening evaluations, treatment planning, safety planning as part of discharge planning, coordination of placement in appropriate level of care, and documentation, in order to reduce or eliminate psychological, behavioral, or chemical dependency problems that necessitated admission. Actively performs as a member of an interdisciplinary team and demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide clinical care appropriate to the age of the patient or resident served. What you will do: - Accurately assesses biopsychosocial functioning of assigned patients and residents by using effective interviewing skills, behavioral observation, mental health assessment skills, and collateral sources of information. Synthesizes information into a written document that provides valuable information for treatment planning.
