Title Custodian Pay Grade: Non-Exempt Major Department: Maintenance: Minor Department: Maintenance: Reports to: Store Manager/General Manager: Job Summary: The Custodian is accountable for the store’s overall cleanliness and condition. S/he must maintain and clean the entire store, completing hourly walks and inspections. S/he must have a complete knowledge, proper handling, and storage of all cleaning equipment. Her/his main focus is to ensure all customers shop in a clean and safe environment. Essential Job Responsibilities: - Must possess the knowledge and training of how to effectively use and maintain all cleaning equipment. - Effectively complete hourly and daily sweep logs. - Ensure a clean, presentable, safe, and hazard free environment for all customers and employees. - Must maintain all trash containers, spills, restrooms, and overall sales-floor. - Perform all clean-up duties that are required in quickly and efficiently. - Assist with actual store operation activities such as stocking shelves, assisting with customers, and cleaning, depending upon business needs. - Other duties as assigned.
