Primary Scheduled Hours: variable shifts, per diem Job Summary: Responsible for the cleaning of assigned areas of the hospital according to policies and procedures. Monitors laundering machines to clean articles such as sheets, towels, rags, wiping cloths and filter cloths by performing the following duties. Participates in the department’s performance improvement activities. Performs general facility cleaning and maintenance, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning sinks and toilets, washing and waxing floors. May include ground maintenance. Essential Job Functions: - Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department. - Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner. - Completes work assignments in a timely manner. - Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure. - Uses and maintains equipment properly. - Assists visitors with directions whenever requested. - Always introduces self to patients, families and visitors. - Rep...
