POSITION SPECIFICS: Title: MRI Technologist: FTE: Per Diem: Schedule: Variable: Holiday Rotation: No: Weekend Rotation: No: On Call Requirements: No: POSITION SUMMARY: The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist performs MR procedures at a technical level that does not require constant supervision but does require good judgment. Operates MRI equipment using ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed protocols to assist diagnosis of disease and injury. Assumes responsibility for coordinating procedures, quality assurance and record keeping as related to departmental policy, MR safety and attending to the patient's needs.. POSITION TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform all MRI procedures using complex, specialized MRI equipment. Receive, position and attend to patients. Abstract pertinent data from patient or family and/or patient record. Educate patient and/or family and answers any questions on the MR procedure being performed.
