Essential Functions: Prepares meals, using standard, approved menus in sufficient quantity and quality. Cooks, prepares, and seasons soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption in eating establishments. Assists workers engaged in preparing foods for cafeterias, hotels, restaurants, or ready-to-serve packages. Washes, peels, and slices vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients used in salads and plate garnishes. Meets specific needs of calendar and scheduled events (regular and special). Operate all equipment necessary for food preparation including convection ovens, stoves, meat slivers, chopper, knives, steamers, steam kettles and skillets.
