Description The Department of Pathology at Stanford Medicine seeks a clinical chemist or pathologist to serve as Associate Director of the Clinical Chemistry and Medical Director of the pre-analytical section at Stanford University Medical Center with academic appointment at the School of Medicine. Appointment may be in the Medical Center or Clinician Educator line, depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. The predominant criterion for appointment in the Medical Center Line is a major commitment to clinical teaching and clinical care with appropriate scholarly contributions in the field. The predominant criterion for appointment in the Clinician Educator Line is clinical service and teaching. A record of scholarly contributions in clinical, translational or basic research is required for appointment in the Medical Center Line. There are abundant opportunities for such research, which can include collaborations with colleagues in the Pathology Department and in other departments at the University for the selected candidate with research interest.
