Description JOB SUMMARY: Working within the vision and values of Vancouver Coastal Health and in accordance with the policies and processes and under general supervision, establishes a supportive presence that promotes a variety of trauma informed interventions, practices and clinical services that cultivate safety and respect within a long-term care facility. Provides assistance to clients with complex health and cognitive needs and/or their caregivers from various cultural backgrounds by liaising with the clinician and community services, assisting nursing staff in monitoring clients’ behaviour, and supporting the interdisciplinary team during the client care planning process. Acts as a member of the on-shift response team for the site’s fire, safety and security functions and intervenes to fire, safety and security related complaints/hazards including non-clinical emergencies and aggression.
