Embedded Systems Engineer II

Job description

The Embedded Systems Engineer II is responsible for leading and following through on electronics projects in Friction Management (FM), assisting the Mechanical team in electronics aspects of their projects, addressing field and customer concerns, and leading sustaining and new product development projects as needed. The projects will involve design and support of friction modifier application control and monitoring systems in railroads using embedded electronics as well as design and support of various sensors for the same applications. Responsibilities (Essential Functions): 1. Responsible for the development and (or) approval of embedded electronics systems including concept, simulation, prototyping, development, and test. 2. Hardware design activities including design, simulation, documentation and prototyping. 3. Design and revision of embedded firmware and operating systems (C, FreeRTOS, Linux, etc). 4.
