Overview Department: Medical Surgical Ortho Neuro: Location: Mercy Medical Center Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt The Medical Surgical Manager is a Registered Nurse responsible for 24-hour administrative oversight of all nursing services. This role provides leadership for patient care delivery, staff supervision, and departmental operations while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. The Medical Surgical Manager is a visible, hands-on leader who rounds daily, supporting staff, monitoring care delivery, and maintaining close collaboration with physicians and nursing leadership. This position works in consultation with the CNO/DON to address clinical issues, interpret policies, and ensure patient needs are consistently met. Responsibilities: The Manager of Med/Surg - Telemetry is a Registered Nurse who assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility for the management of all nursing service functions within the Med/Surg - Telemetry departments.
