Senior Piping Engineer or Designer

Job description

The Senior Piping Engineer or Designer is responsible for initiating and developing engineering drawings through completion for assigned projects in conformance with the client requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project’s discipline engineers. Engineers apply Computer Aided Design (CAD) techniques to generate and interpret engineering designs in support of assigned projects. A significant amount of the design work is done in 3D software. Piping Engineer reports to the Piping Discipline Manager. Responsibilities: - Develops complex engineering drawings under minimal supervision. - Applies a expert level of understanding within a specific discipline. - Understands codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline. - Fully understands the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline, including associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards, and procedures. - Understands the engineer’s process of performing and verifying design calculations to support the overall project design. - Understands the discipline’s equipment and material lists....
