As a Billing Specialist III at the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) , you will perform advanced billing functions — including claim processing, payment posting, insurance verification, and denial resolution — while also supporting team workflows, reporting, and compliance. Your work ensures patient accounts are managed with precision, timeliness, and full alignment with payer requirements and organizational standards. What You’ll Do: - Perform advanced billing functions, including claim submission (CMS-1500/ADA), payment posting, and insurance verification - Manage high-volume medical, dental, and orthodontic claims with a focus on accuracy and timeliness - Investigate and resolve denied or rejected claims; collaborate with coding staff as needed - Monitor and manage A/R aging reports, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution - Submit electronic claims (837) and reconc...
