Job description

Status : Temporary, Full-Time Work schedules are: 8:00am to 4:30pm (40 hours a week) Place of Work: 47 Minas Warehouse Rd, New Minas, Nova Scotia B4N 5A5 YOUR ROLE: Reporting to the Feed Production Manager, your duties include: Supervising the manufacture of quality feeds to meet customer order requirements; Ensuring quality feed production through regular product inspections, implementing and maintaining approved quality control procedures so that feed will meet pre-determined quality specifications; Receiving the manufacturing ingredients and shipping of bagged feed to meet plant and customer demands; Contributing to the achievement of fire, security and safety programs by adhering to approved fire, security, and safety policies and procedures; Procuring non-resale items not directly involved in the manufacturing of feed or maintenance of equipment; Contributing to the harmonious relationships by administering a labour agreement in a fair and equitable manner; Motivating and developing employees to become an effective and efficient workforce by individual and group consultation and training; Ensuring clean mill and grounds by scheduling and supervising the cleaning of the mill an...
