The Opportunity We are seeking experienced CEI Inspectors with experience in Roadway inspection for our Transportation-Construction Management (T-CM) team in the Waynesville, NC area. RS&H is currently seeking an experienced inspector technician to join our team. This position will work outside on an active construction site. As part of the construction management team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm by observing the work of contractors to determine the progress and quality of work on construction projects. This position performs highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, including making and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests and is responsible for coordinating and managing junior inspectors; reviews and interprets contract documents to determine if the contractor’s work is in compliance; maintains detailed accurate records of the contractor’s daily operations and of significant events that affect the work; and performs sampling and field testing of component materials and completed work.
