Junior Project Accountant

Job description

AMT is seeking a Junior Project Accountant to assume a key role within the accounting department at our Rockville, MD office. The Qualified candidate will have independent judgment and initiative while working within established policy/procedural guidelines and ensure that all financial deadlines regarding billing are met for month-end closes. The position requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized individual with the ability to multi-task and demonstrate success with accurate processing of billing. Responsibilities: - Review client contracts to ensure billing terms are accurately reflected and monthly billings are prepared in accordance with contractual requirements. - Prepare and distribute monthly billing reports for Project Managers. - Process, post, print, and distribute client invoices in a timely and accurate manner. - Maintain and update project setup, billing schedules, and related records within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system Qualifications: - 1-2 years of billing experience - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Position requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel. - Experience in A/E/C or DOT preferred. - Candidate should be well...
