Description The School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor position with an anticipated start date of August 2022. This is a University-year (9-month) position with the possibility for additional teaching in the summer. This position is 75% teaching and 25% administrative/service/scholarship. The typical teaching load includes six courses per year, normally three courses per semester. Primary leadership and teaching responsibilities will be associated with course design, coordinating multiple sections, and teaching a core scientific writing course (MOVESCI 219) in the undergraduate Movement Science curriculum. The course is designed to equip students with writing skills and related research knowledge to effectively communicate research findings in the movement sciences. The course focuses on developing student capacity for analyzing and synthesizing scientific research literature and research. Other teaching opportunities may be possible based on the successful candidate’s area of expertise and program needs but scientific writing is the priority.
