This position will support ColumbiaDoctors, one of the largest multi-specialty practices in the Northeast. ColumbiaDoctors’ practices comprise an experienced group of more than 2,800 physicians, surgeons, dentists, and nurses, offering more than 240 specialties and subspecialties. Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Department Supervisor, uses equipment to create images using high frequency sound waves into specific areas of the patient's body to obtain cardiovascular diagnostic information. This is a professional position with no supervisory responsibility. Incumbents under this title perform similar but not identical duties. Job Responsibilities: - Localize and recognize differences between healthy and pathological areas to evaluate for factors such as position, obstruction or change in shape. - Judge if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. - Perform ultrasound examinations. - Record, file and edit results of sonograms. - Maintain logs of ultrasound exams. - Explain procedure to patient, record medical history, and prepare...
