Swim Instructor I Starting Hourly Rate: $17.35: Work Schedule: Variable, dependent upon lesson schedule. No more than 25 hours per week. Classes are held Monday – Thursday mornings and evenings as well as Saturday and Sunday 9:30am – 1:30pm. Instructs swimming and water safety skills for children and adults according to City of Ann Arbor standards. Responsible for the supervision of structured class activities for a small group of students. Required Qualifications: been approved by the Bureau of Community and Health Systems, Child Care Licensing Division. Please see link for list of approved organizations. - Knowledge of instructional methods for teaching swimming and water safety skills to groups and individuals - Must obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment. The City offers CPR/AED and First Aid classes, which are free to Parks employees.
