Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Overview: The Occupational Health Nurse reports directly to the Operations Manager and indirectly to the Occupational Health Coordinator. The successful candidate holds a valid nursing license in practicing state and current certification in CPR/AED from American Red Cross or AHA. This position will sit at Columbus Flat Roll, but will service both New Process Steel and BioCarbon. This position will not work for Columbus Flat Roll or Aluminum Dynamics. The position is full time Monday – Friday with on-call required after hours for injury management. Responsibilities: - Treatment of on-site injuries and referral to outside medical care as needed - Case management for injured workers and facilitate return to work - Provide medical surveillance for all employees including but not limited to annual audiograms, spirometry, vision screening and lead testing - Conduct new hire pre-employment drug and alcohol screening & coordinate medical examinations - Participate in ergonomics assessments and job hazard analyses - Administration of the Drug and Alcohol program according to company policy - Responsible for training employees in First Aid and CPR/AED as Medical Re...
