Utility Worker

Job description

This is a Union position. You will be required to sign up with the Teamsters Union Local 853 during onboarding if selected for this role. There is a starting pay rate of $21.03 with the step progression to $22.96 after 60 probationary days. There are a lot of bid opportunities available thereafter. You will need to pass a background check and CA state approved drug screen. Essential Functions: - Use jump cables on cars. - Charge high and low voltage cars. - Tire pressure checks on cars. - Install solar panels for car charge. - Scan car locations. - Responsible for vehicle maintenance. - Maintain solar panels. - Survey - Other basic processing functions. Competencies: - Ability to multi-task. - Ability to work as a team. - Is reliable and follows through on tasks. - Ability to operate a vehicle. - Ability to listen and communicate efficiently. - Ability to solve problems. - Must show integrity and responsibility. - Must have valid Drivers License. Work Environment: Outdoors exposed to changing and/or extreme weather conditions (for instance, rain, sun, snow, wind, humidity, etc.).
