Job Description Operating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), the Sr. Planner ensures compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards while coordinating with other key stakeholders to meet overall milestones. Key Responsibilities: Safety Leadership: - Take personal responsibility for your own safety through hazard identification and mitigation. - Ensure practices/processes are safely executed. - Communicate safety concerns and model safe behaviors. Project Execution: - Develop detailed availability work package planning analysis reports. The reports will be delivered to the Navy and installing shipyards. - Update and maintain ship, availability and alteration specific data in the Planning Yard Hull Management System (HMS). - Provide Project Management (PM) products and services for various projects as assigned. Quality Management: - Collect and review quality data for trends, patterns, anomalies and make recommendations for corrective actions in various departmental processes (Engineering, Manufacturing etc.). - Ensure that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
