Automation Software Engineer

Job Description Summary: What you will do for us - Design, develop, test, and maintain manufacturing and automation software applications using C# and .NET (.NET Framework and .NET Core). - Build backend services, APIs, and integrations connecting shopfloor systems (PLCs, SCADA, Batch) with enterprise applications and databases. - Develop operator and engineering interfaces using Vue.js and the Ignition platform. - Work with Microsoft SQL Server databases, writing efficient queries, and designing data models. - Implement data access using Entity Framework and Dapper. - Integrate applications with industrial devices and external vendor systems. - Support and enhance manufacturing platforms including FactoryTalk Batch, SCADA, HMI, and PLC data collection systems. - Participate in digital manufacturing and “Plant of the Future” initiatives. - Manage source control and CI/CD workflows using GitLab. - Apply DevOps and containerization practices; support deployments in modern environments (including Kubernetes where applicable). - Troubleshoot performance issues, bottlenecks, and system faults in production environments. - Ensure robust validation, testing, and documentation of automatio...
