Overview PURPOSE STATEMENT: Performs as a skilled automotive mechanic responsible for completing all tasks required to diagnose, properly repair, and maintain vehicles and designated equipment and ensure their safe and proper operation by following specific policies, procedures, methods, codes and manufacturer specifications. Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lays-out and performs all job duties relating to the proper diagnoses, repair and maintenance of engines and associated components of vehicles, machines and equipment in accordance with manufactures' standards of quality: - Operates electronic, mechanical or computerized diagnostic equipment and tools to determine the required repair, component replacement and/or maintenance required to remedy the identified or reported failure; - Repairs or replaces broken, damaged, faulty, defective vehicle/eq1ipment components for electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and other associated systems; - Disassembles, repairs and rebuilds all sizes of internal combustion engines; - Disassembles, repairs and rebuilds all varieties of transmission/drive trains and/or assemblies; - Repairs automobile body by replacing damaged par...
